WINSTED — The Winsted Fire Department will hold its annual Fireman's Carnival at 75 Rowley Street, Winsted, opening at 6 p.m. Aug. 24.

Carnival hours are 6-10 p.m. Aug. 24-25 and 6-11 p.m. Aug. 26-27.

Wednesday and Thursday is Wrist Band Night, where the purchase of a special wrist band for $30, kids will have unlimited carnival rides.

The Beer Garden will have live entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The food tent will sell fried dough, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, onion rings and french fries.

Raffle tickets with a variety of seven prizes will be available at the carnival grounds for purchase.

Fireworks will be held at 9:30 p.m. Friday, with a rain date set for Saturday, Aug. 27.

The Fireman’s Parade begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, with a new route and more than 25 departments participating from around the state. Rowley Street is under constructino, so this year, the parade will start at Lake Street, follow Main Street past the reviewing stand, turn right on Case Ave, left on Willow Street and ending at the Carnival Grounds.
