Two special event beer permits were approved at the beer board on Thursday. Friends of the Festival represented by Mickey McCamish was given a temporary license for the Riverfront Nights Concert Series on July 2,9,16, 23 and 30. The concerts will continue into August and will need another temporary license. The concerts will be at 100 Riverfront Parkway / Ross’s Landing from 6-10 p.m. each night.

Mr. McCamish said on July 2 the series will start with “Sail-On”, which is the number one Beach Boy tribute band. And on Saturday, July 16, there will be a special program to remember Chattanooga’s “Fallen Five.”

McKamey Animal Center/Animal Care Trust will be able to serve beer at a fundraising event “Paw Palooza” that will be held in Coolidge Park on June 25 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Inge Fricke, executive director, said that beer will be served in a fence-in area in the park, by Wanderlinger and Chattanooga Brewing, both partners of McKamey Animal Center. Entrance and a wrist band will come with a donation made to McKamey. Beer is included with the wristband.
