Here are the happenings this weekend in the Fort and beyond.

GrapeFest, Grapevine's signature wine festival, takes place every year in its historic downtown.

This weekend showcases a streamline of fun activities from celebrating Hispanic culture, to Fort Worth’s forward fashion show and a wine festival in Grapevine. Enjoy the sounds of Frank Sinatra or the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Take your pick, there’s never a wrong answer, y’all.

The Fort Worth Stockyards kicks off Hispanic Heritage Month on Sunday with live music, a parade, and the Fiestas Patrias Celebration — a two-hour equestrian spectacular. The city is honoring Hispanic Heritage Month Sept. 15 – Oct. 15. Fiestas Patrias Celebration starts at noon with performances from kids mariachi band of Infinite Daze Music Academy and Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth.

September is National Literacy Month, and the Trinity River Book Festival is back with its annual event on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., a celebration of community authors and books, and a promotion of literacy. There’ll be a 5k run-to-read marathon — beginning at 8 a.m.; a book club meet-up, featuring a book by James Patterson; author presentations; and Poetry in the Park. More than 30 authors are expected to be in attendance, covering genres from children's picture books to thrillers and everything in between. For more, head here.

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and friends are exploring all types of dance music from around the world with its special event at Bass Hall. From traditional to folk, hear the orchestra take you through different cultures while utilizing the rhythmic power of dance and music from 11:00 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Start spreading the news with a tribute to this acclaimed Rat Packer at Casa Manana. My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra has been a hit in more than 500 productions nationwide, including all 50 states.

Although not in Fort Worth, anyone with wine is our friend. Grapefest takes place in Grapevine with different Texas wine tasting opportunities. There’ll even be the classic grape stomp, charcuterie board workshop, and family-friendly activities.

Pop your collars and get your hair gelled because Burnett Park’s movie night this Friday will have your chills multiplin’. Pink Ladies and T-Birds are welcome to get into character and dress to win a hot prize for the showing of the 1978 classic Grease. It’ll be an excellent way to end these summer nights.
