Kids of all ages love fall family fun days at a pumpkin patch or corn maze. These pumpkin patches and corn mazes are all located within about an hour of Lynchburg.

NOTE - Some pumpkin patches and corn mazes have different hours on Halloween weekend, so check before you go!
Dark Leaf Farms is located at 2870 Mud Road in Concord. In previous years, Dark Leaf Farms has featured a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, bounce house, barrel ride, combine play area, and more. Dark Leaf Farms information isn't noted yet for 2022.
Yoders' Farm is located at 1134 Browns Mill Road in Rustburg. Yoders' information isn't yet noted for the 2022 Fall Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch season. Kids of all ages can enjoy the corn maze, pumpkin patch, duck races, farm animals and more.
Layman Family Farms is located at 1815 Mountain View Church Road in Blue Ridge. Layman opens for the season on Sept. 17 and will be open Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 5. Most activities are included with admission. Each guest receives a wristband to use on special attractions. Pumpkins and Gemstone mining are available at additional cost. Layman Farm is open September Saturdays from 10 AM - 6 PM and Sundays from 11 AM - 6 PM; October Saturdays from 10 AM - 7 PM, Sundays from 11 AM - 6 PM, and Wednesdays from 4 PM - 8:30 PM with limited activities; and Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 AM - 5 PM. Admission is free for kids under age 3. Tickets are available online or pay at the gate.
Jeter Farm is located at 181 Blue Ridge Boulevard in Roanoke. Jeter Farm opens for the season on Sept. 25 and will be open Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 30. All activities are included with admission fees. Enjoy the corn maze, hay rides, barnyard zoo, games, slides, and more. Hours are Saturdays from 9 AM - 6 PM and Sundays from 12 PM - 6 PM. Pumpkins are sold separately. Kids ages 2 and under are free.
Lottie J Farm is located at 4787 Patterson Mill Road in Bedford. Lottie J Farm will hold Open Farm Days for the 2022 season on Saturdays from Sept. 10 through Oct. 29. Open Farm hours are 10 AM - 4 PM. Come enjoy the brand new Play Barn with swings, rope tunnel, corn pit, mini hay pyramid, small slide and 40 foot tube slide that takes you right into the pumpkin patch, as well as the barnyard with alpacas, goats, pigs, miniature donkeys and chickens. Shop in the farm store and enjoy fresh, homemade goodies from The Happy Hen food trailer. Sit back, take a big country breath and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views!
Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is located at 165 Old Ridge Road in Lovingston. In addition to the corn maze, you can also visit the farm animals, try out the pumpkin slingshot, race in the obstacle course, enjoy the outdoor play area, and check out the night maze. Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is for the season from Sept. 24 through Nov. 6. Kids 3 and under are free with paid adult admission. Day Maze Hours and Night Maze Hours vary during the season, so check the website for specific dates and times. In addition, Blue Ridge Mountain Maze will be open on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 10 from 10 AM - 6 PM.
Smith's Pumpkin Patch is located at 6204 Fort Avenue in Lynchburg. Smith's information for the 2022 season isn't yet noted. In previous years, Smith's has been open daily through the season.
Silver Creek & Seamans' Orchards is located at 5529 Crabtree Falls Highway in Tyro. The pumpkin patch is open Oct. 1-31 for pick-your-own pumpkins. Market hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM. There are also special PYO dates for apples at Silver Creek Orchard in Tyro on Sept. 10 and Oct. 8, at Seamans' Orchard in Roseland on Sept. 17 and 18, and Oct. 22 at Silver Creek & Seaman's Orchard. The Apple Butter Festival will be held on Oct. 1 and Oct. 15 from 10 AM - 4 PM and will include pick-your-own pumpkins and corn maze.
White Fall Farm is located at 6001 Riceville Road in Gretna. White Fall Farm was open for the 2021 season. No information is posted about the 2022 season.

Welcome to Lynchburg Macaroni Kid! I've lived in Lynchburg for many years and love it here. I'm mom to five young adults who now have families of their own. We stay busy with kid activities and love spending time outdoors. When it's time for a road trip, we're usually headed to the beach, the Blue Ridge Mountains or out of state to visit family. At home, you'll find me in the garden or at the computer, adding great local events to the Lynchburg Macaroni Kid calendar.
