After two years away, Bristol Pride Day is back. On Saturday, July 9 thousands are expected to take to the streets for a parade that marches through the city before heading to the main event at The Downs.

It will be the first year it has been held since 2019, when it attracted 40,000 people. Not only is it one of Bristol’s biggest festivals but it’s one of the largest UK Pride events and it was even named in the Top 50 World Pride events in 2018 and 2019.

Pride Day starts with the Pride Parade, which is followed by the massive outdoor multi-stage festival with music and performances, community and family areas, silent disco, bars, food, markets and lots more.

Despite its popularity rocketing each year, Bristol Pride remains a donation-only event. It means you are free to come and go as you please but the organisation still relies heavily on people helping out.

Entry to the event on The Downs is still free but all attendees will be asked for a suggested £4 donation. This is to help support Pride in the future.

This year the organisers have unveiled a special wristband for £7. It will allow attendees to donate to the festival - and get access to lots of benefits in the process.
