This episode of AEW Dynamite Fyter fest saw Jungle Boy return, Wheeler Yuta in action, and a brutal barbed wire match.

The second week of AEW Fyter Fest offered more incredible action, deft storytelling, and masterful promo work. The special edition of Dynamite was a cross-promotional tool for Discovery's Shark Week. Thankfully, there were no actual sharks at ringside because they would've smelled the blood if there were.

Here are your winners and losers from the jam-packed episode of AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest.

When the match between Brody King and Darby Allin was announced, fans shuddered at the potential spots these two could execute. The brutality in the ring exceeded the imagination of fans.

King was in control for most of the contest, using his size difference to his advantage. He manhandled Darby Allin like a rag doll, throwing him into the barricades and the ring ropes. Darby would have to use his own body as a weapon, heaving himself into his much larger opponent. Allin's hope spots were gripping and pulled the audience in, but Brody's physicality proved too much for Darby.

The match concluded with a spot that mirrored the finish to the Royal Rampage (a rear naked choke over the edge of the apron). Darby lost consciousness and was nearly counted out. When Allin snuck into the ring at the count of nine, he was met with a brutal Gonzo Bomb. 1-2-3.

Post-match, King continued the assault of Darby, which lured in Sting. The Icon was double-teamed by Brody King and Malakai Black, who sprayed black mist into Sting's face. As the House of Black continued their attack, they were interrupted by Miro - who has been teasing a feud with Black for the last several weeks.

Wheeler Yuta would team with Blackpool Combat Club partner Jon Moxley to face his former faction buddies, The Best Friends. The four competitors (along with William Regal and Orange Cassidy on commentary) told a wonderful in-ring story.

On the other hand, Trent was interested in teaching Yuta a lesson the hard way. Aggression and frustration got the better of Chuck, and the match evolved into a highly physical, hard-fought tag match. The Best Friends reminded Yuta (and the AEW audience) of just how impressive they are as a tag team.

The match was excellent from start to finish, but the last several minutes were incredible. It concluded with Yuta executing a beautiful seat belt style roll up on Taylor for the victory. Orange Cassidy showed rare frustration as soon as the bell rang, stating, "Chuck taught him that." Cassidy threw his headset off and left the commentary desk.

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus made quick work of the Varsity Blondes. Cage tagged out as soon as the bell rang and tagged in once the dirty work was done. After the victory, Cage sat atop Luchasaurus' shoulders much like Jungle Boy used to do.

Then, Baltimora's Jungle Life hit, and the crowd erupted. A returning Jungle Boy (who looked more like a Jungle Man) strode to the ring with a steel chair in hand. He went toe-to-toe with his former tag partner... but Luchasaurus moved out of the way. Jungle Boy gave a cheeky smile to a furious Christian before he sprinted after him. Cage ran through the audience as Jungle Boy chased him out of the arena.

Jade Cargill remained undefeated as she teamed with Baddie member Kiera Hogan. They took on Athena and Willow Nightingale in an excellent tag team match. Each woman got their shine and was able to display their talent in an economical but exciting contest.

The highlight was the interactions between Athena and Jade Cargill, teasing a future singles match between the two. If those two superstars could expand on what we saw tonight, we're in for a real treat.

Well, they weren't lying. There was barbed wire everywhere. The ropes, ring bell, chairs, and tables were covered in barbed wire. Even Justin Roberts' microphone was wrapped in barbed wire, which Kingston snatched and used the moment he entered the ring, cutting Jericho open from the get-go.

Ringside, Ruby Soho managed the controls of the shark cage, which held the Jericho Appreciation Society. Inside the ring was absolute chaos. Kingston and Jericho took turns putting each other through barbed wire-wrapped furniture.

Conti's former teammate, Anna Jay, came down as well. At first, it seemed like Anna was going to defend Soho, but she turned on her and lowered the shark cage. Conti fumbled with the key and lock, unable to get the JAS out of the cage, so they just went through the bars in a hilariously crappy moment.

JAS and Kingston's friends brawled at ringside while Eddie continued his offense on Jericho. His spinning back fist finisher wasn't enough to put Jericho away. Kingston wrapped Jericho in barbed wire and applied his stretch plumb submission hold (which beat Jericho at Full Gear). But the hold was interrupted by Sammy Guevara. They teamed up on Kingston and nailed him with a Judas Effect for the victory.

After the match, a furious Kingston threw Jericho into a barbed wire spider web. Jericho shrieked in pain as the show went off the air.
